About this Class
Hatha is a traditional style of yoga focusing on poses and breathing exercises tuning in with breath awareness linking this to the physical poses. Sun Salutations are often practiced in a Hatha Yoga class to gradually build heat in the body. The poses are practiced slowly and held for short periods of time helping the mind and body be more present in the moment and the movement. This can change how we feel not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Perhaps enhancing our energy levels, feelings of happiness and wellbeing as well as helping to release sadness and encourage relaxation. We can use our yoga practice to become more present, connected and engaged with world we live in.
